("TELEVOX SPECIAL RECORD")

In 1939, "TELEVOX" published two special editions of SWING MUSIC:
The T. 100 - series were made of LINDSTRÖM - matrixes by NAT GONELLA and HARRY ROY. Single number series were pressed in Cooperation with German "BRUNSWICK". They showed about 20 tunes of JAZZ and LATIN music, including one Berlin recording of BAR TRIO´s: "Tiger Rag". With other backsides than the normal pressings, those were sold on green label as SONDERPLATTE TELEVOX.

Due to the beginning of war, this short series had to be stopped. It was only in 1942, that the musicians MEG TEVELIAN, ALBERT VOSSEN and the WEHNER BROTHERS recorded some JAMSESSION in the "TELEVOX" studio. Parts of these were sold on the "E 900" - series.

For a Germanywide distribution, a second edition appeared on label "PALLAS SONDERANFERTIGUNG" ("PALLAS SPECIAL EDITION"). The "PALLAS" records were made with different backsides from "TELEVOX" pressings, what makes a complete collecting quite difficult.
